Finding the Purpose in Life in Spite of Your Achievements
Question: I have a simple question that even my friends do not know what the answer to it is. What is the sole pupose of life? I tried looking for it but I can’t find anything. Ever since, people have been telling me that I only belong to a minority race and I always felt the discrimination. I knew there’s something more in my life. So I tried applying for minority scholarships for women and luckily I got accepted. I finished school and I could say I have done a lot of accomplishments. But why is it that I still feel something is missing? But I don’t know what it is.
Answer: I think that we are here for a reason. One might think what is that reason? I personally feel that, the reason we are here is because we are meant to live this earth as it is. We have people claiming that we have global warming and that we need to conserve. Then what we should do is expand. The earth is the universe’s greatest survivor so why worry about how long we’ll be here? Worry about how you’ll love the one closest to you whether that be a dog, fish, cat, wife, husband, or stuffed animal. Just live. And stop worrying about why we’re here. Live life as it comes. Don’t set out a routine. Make your life a zig-zag.
Do this and then you’ll have a new perspective. Sure those scholarships for women you applied was indeed a stepping stone to your achievements in life. But all those are useless now. You won’t care about money as long as your needs are reached. And this incomplete feeling you have is because of stress which will be eventually fixed if you work on it.
Life is blue cheese and cherries as you are counting down the hours. Wondering what you could have done differently, realizing many truths way too late, life is the maddening journey to either some different state. So seize the moment!
